I’m taking an extended break from performing solo to dedicate time to Mysterytrain, the all-original psychedelic jam band I have been running around with for the past two and a half years. I’ve been playing keyboard and singing secondary vocals and writing about a fifth of the songs in our rotation. I’m so glad this project found me back in 2008. It has brought so much to my life in such a short time, and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.

We have a busy summer ahead. Our band has been invited to a bunch of ticketed festivals and invited back to one larger festival for a second year in a row. Our winter shows had dramatically improved turnouts compared to last year. Our core group of friends has become stronger and our playing gets better and better. Nothing like the heady romance of a young band doing well! As always, though, I hope we grow slowly so we can sustain the journey — and the party — for as long as possible.
